What can Architecture do for you?

In the fourth architecture talk in the series, the architect Louisa Hutton from Sauerbruch Hutton in Berlin examines this question from the perspectives of sustainability, contextuality and sensuality using selected projects from the last thirty years. Her lecture will be followed by a conversation with the artist Wolfgang Tillmans from London/Berlin, whose diverse working methods, from photography to music, represent a politically committed view of the world. The moderation will be taken over by Elke Buhr, editor-in-chief of Monopol magazine, which focuses on contemporary art, architecture, fashion, design and pop culture.

Hutton and Tillmans - both rooted in Berlin and London - have in common that, through their deeply human, yet critical attitude and creative responsibility, they have each been shaping architecture and art, and thus the cultural world, for around three decades.

In the discussion series “What Can Architecture Do for You?”, internationally relevant architects reflect on their work in the context of pressing social issues. Her work-related lecture is followed by a discussion with the artist and the audience.
