The work "Berlin" shows news broadcasts from all over the world and the speakers behind the large and sometimes absurd furniture with a mostly virtual backdrop in the background. When connected, it quickly becomes clear that it is not the content of the news that is central, but rather the way it is prepared. Depending on their cultural background, the news anchors are also sexy and attractive or serious and formal. News is now reduced to its entertainment character and the design is being refined all over the world. In the large projection, the viewer is practically standing in the news studio and is part of the “news around the clock”. The long shots and images of leisure activities in Berlin interspersed ironically satirize the common Berlin advertising clichés. There is always a camera on some corner, sending the hip picture of Berlin around the world. The monotonous rhythmic addition of the musical techno tracks underlines the hollow advertising strategy of the images.
