Yoko Ono is not only an important artist, but also a tireless peace activist. In direct collaboration with the artist's studio, the Neue Nationalgalerie is showing Yoko Ono . She herself was twelve years old when the bombs fell on the Japanese cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, which had an immense influence on her artistic work.
Her art calls for reflection on violence and social justice, thereby opening up spaces for dialogue about peace and the incorrigible belief in a better world.
Hiroshima Sky Is Always Blue, the thematically highly topical exhibition will show numerous previously unknown works from her entire creative phase. A large, interactive peace performance is also planned, to which all Berliners are invited.
